Show component with repair history

For what purpose?

All component data and repair data of Bosch injection components repaired by authorised Bosch Diesel Centers and Bosch Diesel Services using Bosch QualityScan are saved on the Bosch QualityScan server.Repair ID or type-part number, date of production and serial number can be entered to search for repaired Bosch injection components and their information.

How?

Proceed as follows:

1. Enter repair ID.
   • The 10-digit repair ID consists of upper-case letters (without specific characters such as 'Umlauts') and/or digits from 2 to 7.The repair ID is printed on the repair ID label or repair ID clip and can be entered using the hand scanner or the keyboard.

   • Heed the instructions for using the hand scanner.

     For optimal results we recommend the following procedure:

     • Be sure to only scan the DataMatrix code with the repair ID and no other codes possibly present on the component.
     • Avoid excessive backlight (e.g. sunlight).
     • Clean soiled DataMatrix codes.
     • Avoid excessive reflection on the DataMatrix code.
     • Holding the switch down (scanner active), locate the hand scanner in front of the DataMatrix code.
     • Place the crosshairs of the hand scanner on the DataMatrix code.
     • Scan the DataMatrix codes from a distance of approx. 5 – 10 cm and an angle of approx. 30° – 40° from above or below.

       

       

       • If scanning is difficult when components are installed, then we recommend to attach repair ID labels and repair ID clips only after testing the components.
       • When entering the repair ID it must be ensured that the tested and repaired Bosch injection components are not mixed up and that the repair result is allocated to the corresponding repair ID.

1. Enter type-part number, date of production and serial number.

   Type-part number, date of production and serial number are located on the plastic collar on the top end of Bosch common-rail injectors (CRI/CRIN) and on the type label of Bosch common-rail pumps (CP):

   • Type-part number: 10-digit number starting with 0 445 (some CRIN do not have these numbers)
   • Date of production: such as a 5 or 6-digit number (sometimes hyphenated)
   • Serial number: such as a 4-digit number
     • The description applies to most Bosch injection components. On some Bosch injection components this information is presented differently.
